The office technology industry is known for its commitment to innovation and excellence, but it’s also known for its heart. The annual Ride for Jillian is a testament to this industry’s compassion and dedication to community service. A band of dedicated riders, named the Patriots Pack and led by Mike Stramaglio, are once again hitting the open road, traveling across the United States with a noble mission at their helm.

For those unfamiliar, The Ride for Jillian is an annual multi-state motorcycle ride primarily in support of The Jillian Fund, an admirable non-profit providing both financial and emotional support to families of children battling terminal illnesses. In addition to this central cause, the ride also promotes awareness and support for our esteemed U.S. Veterans. [Click here to learn more about The Jillian Fund or to donate]

As they embark on their ninth annual ride, the Patriots Pack riders are scheduled to visit several of the nation’s most prominent office equipment resellers. These include:

  • UTEC in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where the journey will officially commence.
  • Pulse Technology.
  • Visual Edge IT.
  • Applied Innovations.
  • Gordon Flesch.
  • Impact Networking.
  • Marco.
  • Loffler.
  • AIS MN, and
  • Coordinated.

Every stop is an opportunity for the riders to engage with the hosting dealer, pick up donations, and then proceed to their next destination.

This ambitious journey will draw to a culmination at the headquarters of GreatAmerica Financial Services in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a significant sponsor and participant in this ride. As Tony Golobic, Executive Chairman at GreatAmerica Financial Services, remarks, “Supporting U.S. Veterans is a sentiment deeply embedded in our values at GreatAmerica,” emphasizing the company’s commitment to such worthy causes.

A shoutout must also be given to Mars International, the firm specializing in logistics and off lease office equipment, for sponsoring the Patriots Pack for the fifth consecutive year. The celebrated support vehicle, aptly named the Mars Rover, will accompany the riders throughout their journey.

Additionally, Konica Minolta, Sharp Electronics, ACDI, Hytec, SalesChain, FP Mailing and PowerMPS are all vendor sponsors of this year’s ride.

At the wheel of the Mars Rover will be the dynamic duo, Raj “Rover” Thadani and Mike “Crash” Sadoski are joined by Bob “The Judge” Goldberg, ensuring the riders are well-supported throughout their trip and that they have plenty of cold water and ice cream.
