IKEA designers have come out with a billboard that uses an RGB color scheme to literally triple the print space.

By layering three messages – one printed in Red, Green and Blue and highlighting the print with colored bulbs, IKEA was essentially able to place three print ads into one space.

If the billboard is illuminated by green lamps, only the line printed in magenta is readable.

Blue-purple light makes yellow visible.

Red light brings blue to the surface.

Very clever!
