After attending PRINT 13 in Chicago, the Chaska, Minn.-based company selected the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press to take advantage of new capabilities made possible by the 29-inch format and to offer more competitive pricing for larger-quantity jobs.

“Three things that our customers value the most are exceptional quality, fast turnaround times and custom options. Considering our recent and projected growth, we needed to ensure we could continue to deliver high-quality products to our customers at the speeds we have always delivered them, even as orders increase in number, size and complexity,” said Chuck Reese, president, Smartpress.com. “The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press provides the additional capacity needed to keep up with on-demand printing, while offering clients more and larger options at our signature quality level.”

Capitalizing on growth opportunities with digital print

With the new press installed, Smartpress.com now plans to produce a range of applications, including brochures, postcards, sell sheets, posters and pocket folders as well as affordable, personalized print-on-demand materials, leveraging the revolutionary 29-inch digital format. The company also will develop a niche market for booklets.

Smartpress.com’s installation of the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press builds on existing digital print capabilities of its HP Indigo 7600 Digital Press and provides high-quality production of nearly any commercial application at any size. These capabilities will assist the online printing company with cultivating new business from small print buyers, graphic designers, freelancers, and small and medium-size businesses.
