Asset DB has been the market leading MPS and consultancy toolset for almost a decade now. It continues to be a modular toolset offering the best matching tool for each step of a consultancy process: from data collection to presentation. Every Asset DB update adds to its state of the art features: v4.2 sets a new standard for MPS and assessment toolsets. Some of the many outstanding new features of this release are:

Tri-Colour Meter Capability

To address the growing number of tri-colour level devices in the market and the increasing challenge to analyse costs and volumes for these devices, Asset DB can now fully incorporate tri-colour level devices throughout the complete assessment and design workflow.
At Auditor level data collectors can capture all available tri-colour meter readings. At Analyst level users can split single level colour volume into tri-colour meter levels and create tri-colour level cost per page contracts in TCO. At Architect level solution architects can transfer volume between all colour levels to ensure the most efficient solution is achieved.

Icon Customisation Changes

Icon Customisations allow Asset DB users to tailor the way in which they conduct data collection by defining the type and quantity of data fields available within their projects.
Enhancements in v4.2 will allow users to further customise their projects with the ability to create new custom icons. Users will also have the ability to introduce Field Validations, Field Visibility Rules and icon Colour Change Rules to help streamline the data collection process.
Each of these new features has also been included in the default Icon Customisations. In addition, a greater level of device data is now automatically populated during data collection including device capabilities and specifications.

Asset DB v4.2 is now fully supported on Windows 8. In addition Asset DB WebSmart offers intuitive mobile access to assessments using an iPad or PC web browsers.

Asset DB v4.2 was released at the end of August. Existing Asset DB users have been given the opportunity to attend a range of webinars to familiarise themselves with the new features and functionalities.

“4.2 isn’t just another point release for Asset DB; we’ve incorporated the ability to collect tri-colour meters and perform TCO on these devices in a simple way despite the inherent complexity. We have also opened up the system with a great new UI for creating and customising icons and for users to define their own field validation. I’m convinced that we’re keeping Asset DB at the forefront of the MPS assessment market place.” James Duckenfield, Managing Director, NewField IT adds.

During Photizo Transform Europe, 14. – 16.10.2013, London, visitors are welcome to attend live demos at the NewField IT stand. Analysts are invited to join the web conferences scheduled for October and November 2013.
