The Leading Software Platform for Printer Monitoring Can Now Be Embedded on Samsung, Kyocera, RaspberryPI and Apple Devices

Milan, Italy – AB Asset Management Srl, producer of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) MPS MONITOR printer monitoring platform, has announced that its data collection agent is now available on new platforms, in addition to the traditional Windows one where it has already exceeded 50,000 installations.

The new versions allow all the printing devices in a company’s or office’s network to be monitored, using a simple Embedded App installed on a multifunction Samsung XOA/E or Kyocera HyPAS. If these MFPs are not present, a RASPBERRY PI2/PI3 running Windows 10 IoT Core, or even an Apple computer with MAC OSX operating system can be used.

MPS Monitor platform fully embraces the concept of the Internet of Printers, applying the IoT paradigm to the world of printers and related consumables: printers are connected 24 hours a day to a Cloud system that manages all operational, economic and ecological aspects. This means the user does not have to worry about tasks related to technical management and bureaucratic or administrative problems associated with the supply of consumables, their use and disposal in an environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with the law. Moreover, thanks to reforestation integrated services, the pages produced by the printers can be transformed into new trees, in order to compensate their environmental impact.

The use of Embedded versions of MPS Monitor ensures that end users and Dealers experience maximum availability of data, allowing remote management and an efficient and accurate control of all aspects of operations, from page volumes produced to consumables supply and replacement needs, without having to install any software or use resources on the customer’s systems (PCs or Servers).

Embedded versions of the MPS Monitor have been produced also thanks to the close partnership between AB Asset Management and Oberon Service, an authorised Samsung XOA and Kyocera HyPAS developer that has deep skills and specific tools to develop embedded applications for multifunction devices.

“Installing Embedded MPS Monitor natively on MFP devices and on MiniPCs maximises the benefits provided by the Internet of Things to the world of printers, making Managed Print Services adoption more easy and transparent for the user. This translates into huge advantages by eliminating waste and reducing costs and environmental impact of printing activities. We are happy to help our customers be more productive while following sustainable ecological practices, particularly in an area of such high economic and environmental impact as office printing,” says Nicola De Blasi, CEO of AB Asset Management Srl.

“MPS Monitor’s leadership position in the Printer Monitoring market is further strengthened with this announcement, which adds great value and flexibility to the solution, clearly differentiating it from competitors. We transformed the printing device into an active element of the management platform, leveraging its intelligence by use of the most advanced development technologies,” says Giorgio Gesi, CEO of Oberon Service Srl. “We expect to release more Embedded versions for other Brands shortly, so that we can provide this option to the majority of our customers and Dealers.”
