London, UK, 27 March, 2014 – An engaging and inspirational keynote address at Ipex World Print Summit was provided by advertising supremo Rory Sutherland, who admitted to the 60-strong audience, “We have probably failed to see fully the virtues of print.”

Screen Shot 2013-11-26 at 2.15.34 PMAt the show in London’s ExCel centre yesterday (26 March), Mr Sutherland’s theme was ‘The Evolving Role of Print for Consumer Marketing – Changing Attitudes to Print’. Mark Hinder, Konica Minolta’s Market Development Manager, was chairman and moderator for the 45-minute session.

Mr Sutherland told the audience: “We have probably failed to see fully the virtues of print. However, the fact that print has often been seen as more expensive or not available in real time might actually be to its strength.”

Long Live Direct Mail.’ There, Mr Barber, General Manager of the imail division of UK Mail, provided the 30 delegates with examples of how direct mail is profitable in the digital age through hybrid mail type services and how businesses can tap into this lucrative market.

Konica Minolta customer Andy Fry, Managing Director of Nova Direct, has also provided educational insight with a Masterclass at the show running from March 24-29. The theme of his presentation was Direct Mail and Managing Data.
