Along with the InPrint 2014 show in Hanover, the trade exhibition exclusively dedicated to print technology for industrial manufacturing, ColorGATE is presenting its Industrial Printing Solutions in a new single folder. ColorGATE is actively involved in the Industrial Printing market since its beginnings 10 years ago and plans to expand the existing solutions portfolio in the upcoming years.

To give our users and anyone else interested a quick overview of the many applications and areas that ColorGATE supports; we have divided the print market that we serve into two parts. Due to our motto: “At home in all markets”, we provide software and applications for the Commercial and Industrial Printing markets, as well as for the corresponding markets segments and application areas involved.

As we see it, the Commercial Printing market comprises all printing services in which the printed product is identical to the end product. In this case, the printing process is the core service provided.

Industrial Printing is different from Commercial Printing in that in Industrial Printing the printing is merely one process in the overall production process that serves to decorate the goods produced. In Industrial Printing, the inkjet process is often used to apply an ink or another liquid to any kind or shape of image carrier, which is then decorated or to which new functions are added. The advantages include the small production lots right down to the batch size of “1” as well as the option of changing décor or print image without having to retrofit or convert the printing systems.
