On April 9^th, 2024, the USPS filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission for recommended price changes. If approved, these changes are scheduled to take affect on July 14^th, 2024. Included in the proposed rates is a 5-cent increase in the cost of First-Class Mail Forever stamp.

The proposed adjustments, which have been approved by the governors of the Postal Service, would raise mailing service prices approximately 7.8%.
