On the ninth and tenth day, The Ride for Jillian spent the day walking around The Mall in The Capital.
We walked The Wall, where Mike laid the vest of DataMax’s Barb’s husband who just passed. Yet another emotional moment.
After, we walked around the shops and stands before heading back to get ready for our dinner.
Clover hosted an incredible end to our ride in Georgetown.
George Gorman came down with Larry Coco to welcome us and pick the winner of the Harley Davidson raffle. The Harley was donated by Clover Imaging for our ride. Congrats to Sharp distributor Danny Terrill who won!!!
The next morning started bright and early as The Patriots Pack, along with the members Paul and Chip Miceli who joined us in DC in their Slingshot rode out to the Pentagon to stage for Rolling Thunder. We were parked in the lot by 5 AM.
Rolling Thunder is an annual motorcycle rally – the largest in the world, to honor MIA, the fallen and active service military. There were close to a million motorcycles at this event, possibly more.
From there the pack split up with a group heading towards Chicago and DPOE, others heading south to Dallas and TN and me heading back north to Rochester.
We raised over $120,000 for The Jillian Fund. Combine that with MTBT’s $40,000 donated this past week and we collectively provided this incredible charity over $160,000. Thank you to all that followed us, supported us, participated and made this possible. This is an incredible industry. ~Andy
