As you know last month MWAi hosted our annual Innovation Fair in Tokyo with stops in Nara and Kyoto for OEM visits.   We were honored to travel with our co-hosts from Intel,  LMI, Intellinetics and our local support from SAP Japan.   As you know from previous email the week was a successful in that we continue to invest in our relationships with all of the OEM’s,  build new opportunities for embedding our technology,  exchange marketplace information and provide a road map for growth within Japan and more importantly beyond Japan.
Screen Shot 2013-10-02 at 1.19.58 PMWe conducted five days worth of meetings and met with nearly 300 executives from nearly every OEM as well as many other prestigious companies such as Marubeni, Soft Bank,  NEC and many many more.   During these meetings we presented Technology United with great enthusiasm and people embraced the logic that no one company can stand alone in todays world of fast paced “Connect Everything”  world!   This is Intel’s new slogan ….”connect everything” and boy are they right on the money with that one!
Screen Shot 2013-10-21 at 11.04.20 AMKubo-san is one of the most respected editors and consultants in the imaging/copier/printer industry in Japan.   He was kind enough to cover our story in his trade newspaper,  I have a attached a picture he took of  Matt Chretien,  Gary Willert and me during one of our meetings and during my interview with him.    We will provide a copy of  his coverage  and the Japanese issue and Hiro-san will also provide you with a translation of the article as well.    It is a very interesting article and one that you may find useful if you are having discussions with any of the OEM’s.
I might add that Kubo-san’s trade magazine OA Life is read widely around the world by many if not most of the OEM executives and managers around the world.   So what he writes while emanates from Japan his thousands of readers are all over the world.   He is a highly regarded professional,  intelligent and genuinely good guy!   He will be visiting us in Vegas next week and at the Business Imaging Expo and I will introduce him to you at the Technology United meeting.   In the mean time please do not hesitate to send him an email and say hello!  He is my friend and I know he will enjoy hearing from you.
Thank you all and I look forward to seeing you next week and I am really rev’ed up about next week.   So many great speakers,  events ….SAP,  HP,  Samsung,  Muratec, Technology United and many others …and with Rinse Tamsma keynoting the program I think we get things rolling on a real high note.   Lets not forget our many dealer friends who have taken the time to join us as well.   Great leaders like Jerry Blaine,  John Kuchta,  Chip Micelli,  Phil Lampugnano, Gary Rainsberger,  and others like Kevin DeYoung!
On a personal level I am grateful for your support,  professional courtesy and your investments in Technology United as well as the Expo.    I am also grateful for the many dealers who provided their literal support of MWAi’s FORZA/SAP program and we are looking forward to a great end of 2013 and a BIG 2014.   It is happening and it is exciting to be a part of….THANK YOU RINSE!
Let’s rock Vegas next week!
Regards,
Mike
