With print speeds of up to 3,450 sheets per hour in full color and up to 4,600 sheets per hour in Enhanced Productivity Mode, the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press enables DPI Direct to help meet tight deadlines from corporate and retail clients. The press also broadens the company’s range of applications and allows it to address new market segments, including fulfillment of orders via ShastaPrint.com, a web-to-print offering DPI Direct launched to reach consumers.

“DPI Direct is a technology-driven company, and we have customers in many different industries. By choosing the HP Indigo 10000, we can now support our clients with short XeroxNARS_PhsFNL_300x250_Defruns and give them variable data capabilities as well as many more options for their printing needs,” said Sam Mousavi, president and chief executive officer, DPI Direct. “The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press will help us grow and keep up with on-demand printing, while giving us quality that looks equal or better than offset printing.”

Creating new digital print opportunities

With the installation of the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press in October 2013, DPI Direct plans to expand its personalized direct mail and variable data printing (VDP) offerings while helping to lower the overall cost per print. The company prides itself on working within any budget. In part, DPI Direct purchased the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press to provide customers a more affordable option for personalized print-on-demand materials as well as to pursue high-value applications.

DPI currently operates several HP digital presses, including an HP Indigo 7600 Digital Press. With the increased business expected from the addition of the HP Indigo 10000, DPI Direct plans to add employment opportunities in the San Diego area to support economic growth.

“We’ve acquired multiple customers that have come to us simply because we print on HP Indigo devices,” said Mousavi. “Many designers and brands demand HP Indigo because the prints are consistently high quality. With the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, DPI can meet customer needs and demands by maintaining excellence in the printing industry.  We are proud to stay ahead of our competitors and continue to grow at a fast rate.”
