By PAT KINNEY – EDAR FALLS — Advanced Systems Inc. is giving itself a 60th birthday present a new building.
The copier, scanning and telecommunications company is moving from its longtime location on Airport Boulevard in Waterloo to the former Weber Paper Co. building at 5801 Westminster Drive in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park.
It’s the result of five years of growth for the company, which has seen significant growth in sales and employment to the point where it outgrew the Airport Bouvlevard site and housed staff in multiple locations.
The new building is 32,500 square feet more than double the existing location, at about 12,000 square feet.
