 By Kevin Smith,  – Most customers of Anderson Business Technologyknow they can take in their copiers, fax machines and other high-tech office equipment for quick fixes.

Anderson is, after all, an authorized service center for Xerox, Brother and Canon copiers and fax machines. But this Pasadena business also provides a service few Southland businesses offer anymore — typewriter repair.

“We have a guy who is our typewriter technician and so we’ll gather up a few typewriters at a time that need repair and he’ll come in,” said Donald Anderson, the company’s former president who now serves as chairman of the board. “We can’t get new parts for some of the older models, but we have a graveyard in the basement with a bunch of old typewriters that we can pilfer parts from.”
