LONDON, UK | 31 AUGUST 2023

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd will join framework suppliers to the higher education sector, in exhibiting at the UK Universities Purchasing Consortia’s UKUPC Conference 2023. The event takes place on the 6th and 7th September 2023 at the University of Exeter.

UKUPC is a partnership between eight UK consortia with a mission to leverage the benefits of collaborative procurement, working across the higher education community to enhance procurement. It helps deliver savings and efficiencies while embedding responsible and ethical procurement, sustainable supply chain management and social value.

On its exhibition stand at the UKUPC Conference 2023, Konica Minolta will demonstrate why it is trusted by more than a third of higher education establishments in the UK. Through its portfolio of production print, multifunction devices (MFDs), managed print, intelligent video and process automation solutions the company is providing cost effective, sustainable and truly transformative technology led solutions, which improve the student experience, deliver greater operational efficiency, reduce expenditure and create new revenue streams.

A recent example of the important work Konica Minolta is doing in the sector is a project with the University of Leeds. A new production print solution is helping the University to achieve its aim of becoming the go-to internal print provider for all departments and faculties and reaching out to other public sector bodies in the Leeds area. Konica Minolta are also implementing a new managed service across the University campuses to support all staff and students with its print, copy and scanning requirements.

The University of Leeds joins an impressive list of institutions that includes the University of Cambridge (for whom Konica Minolta is providing all its departments and 31 constituent colleges with approximately 750 bizhub MFDs), University of Reading, University of Aberdeen, University of Birmingham and Kingston University.

As a company we share many similarities with the higher education institutions we serve. This year Konica Minolta is celebrating its 150th anniversary, and we have reached this milestone by continuing to evolve, stay relevant and deliver meaningful economic, technological, educational and social value, as have the universities that share such a rich heritage.” Jason adds, “It is important for Konica Minolta to be present at the UKUPC Conference 2023 both to show what is possible with the latest technology, but also how we can work with procurement to make it ever more accessible.
