To commemorate Earth Day in 2024, we are pausing to reflect on our collective journey toward environmental sustainability. Originating in 1970, Earth Day has grown into a global movement, underscoring the significance of preserving our planet and nurturing a balanced relationship with nature. At Toshiba, we champion eco-friendly solutions that not only support sustainability objectives but also enhance efficiency and reduce business costs.

Toshiba’s Commitment to Sustainability

Since the inception of the Toshiba Toner Recycling Program in 2008, we have prevented more than 1,775 tons of e-waste from ending up in landfills. Through our partnership with the renowned recycler Close the Loop, representatives of Toshiba’s EcoSmart Toner Recycling Program collect and transport empty toner cartridges to Close the Loop’s zero-waste-to-landfill facility for materials recovery. These recycled materials are then reintroduced into the commodities market for further use.
