HIMSS24 – what an event! I was fortunate to spend time with my colleague Jim Gebhardt, catching up with the movers and shakers in healthcare tech. We were joined at the PaperCut stand by our best friends from ecoprintQ (hola to Dominick Bracero, Ross Wood, and Kelly Loya) and ACDI (shoutout to Mark Hart, Gracen Caddy, and Jeff Vincent)

What we learned at HIMSS

So what did Jim and I learn from the event?

Jim performed a LOT of demos. He, Ross, and Jeff had a steady stream of interested folks wanting to get their head around how PaperCut improves healthcare printing.

The main challenges we heard from attendees were 1) understanding their overall print “footprint” and 2) what they’re actually doing month over month and how to control cost and PHI (Patient Health Info).

The biggest topic, though? VDI support for driver deployment and FAX are huge eye openers. If you’re wondering what to lead with when you’re next in front of a healthcare prospect, lead with PaperCut’s recent innovations in VDI printing. You’ll get a fantastic reaction!

Our booth was a real standout, with lots of lovely feedback received. Everyone loves the trees and tree giveaways. We even had two attendees from Oracle Health who came back for the 2024 version of the tree kit as they had already planted one from the 2023 event!

Sustainability is still a draw for prospects and customers. It might not be the number one attraction, but it’s in the conversation. Don’t be afraid to mention the opportunity solutions like PaperCut bring to a company’s ESG ambitions.

The biggest opportunity

Our major takeaway is there’s a huge appetite for print management in healthcare. To be honest with you, we received many comments from attendees saying, “What is PaperCut and what does it do?” And of course once we showed them the potential, they were highly intrigued. And before you ask, yes, we got many warm leads from the event that our partners are following up right now. Thank you, team – we’re so grateful for everything you do!

I can’t wait for next year!
