ACDI was thrilled to announce the latest version of PaperCut was officially released last week. PaperCut MF 16.0 is full of great new features alongside some fixes that the prior version warranted.
In terms of the major changes that PaperCut MF 16.0 offers – here is a quick rundown:
- Direct Printing – this is probably one of the most important features that PaperCut MF0 brings to the table. Essentially what this means is that with the Direct Printing option, end users are not required to have, add, or host PaperCut on a server. Without the need to add a print server or change printer or network configuration, this equals a significant amount of time savings on installation.
- Notifications for Printer Groups – Exactly as it sounds – this feature ensures the right printer notification is sent to the right person in an organization. Now administrators can select who receives print error notifications for any collection of printers by groups, department or building.
- Easier Mail Server Setup – PaperCut MF 16.0 offers a simple way to configure email servers via the Admin User Interface, enabling notifications about important events that you want to be alerted to. Another bonus – settings for popular services like Google, Yahoo and Outlook.com are populated automatically.
- New Look Manuals – Out with the old, and in with the new. PaperCut’s manuals have been updated with a sleek new look and a more user friendly experience to accompany PaperCut MF 16.0’s release.
