It not only encapsulates your work history and skillset, but it also displays others’ opinions about your work through endorsements and recommendations. In fact, most business cards and email signatures now include LinkedIn profiles. It is not enough to simply have a profile, but being active is a must for all sales professionals.
A few tips worth highlighting:
- Get yourself a professional headshot. It is important to only upload pictures you would want to see on a business card. By adding a photo to your profile, you can receive 11 times more LinkedIn views. It’s that simple.
- Take the time to write a compelling description about what you do, the products you sell, your competitive advantages, and most importantly…how to contact you.
