On September 20, Dacula, GA played host to the exciting 2023 Puttin’ On the Pink golf tournament. Located just outside  Atlanta, the charity event was graced with beautiful weather and a worthy cause: to raise funds for The American Cancer Society in support of breast cancer research.

Hosted by Ricoh and organized once again by Ricoh’s Suzanne Olszewski, the event proudly celebrated its major sponsors, including its flagship sponsor, Hytec Dealer Services. Their collective efforts, combined with those of the participants and supporters, culminated in a whopping $100,000+ raised, symbolizing a significant contribution to the fight against breast cancer.

One of the event’s most talked-about features was the thrilling “closest to the hole” ball drop. Spectators watched in awe as a helicopter took to the skies, releasing a cascade of golf balls onto a putting green below. The lucky individual whose ball ended up closest to the hole walked away with a cool $1,000 prize.

But it wasn’t just about prizes and games. The event was elevated by the presence of notable golf personalities, most prominently Maurice Allen. The former long ball champion, who holds the unique distinction of being the only person to send a golf ball soaring over Niagara Falls, showcased his impressive skills, reminding everyone of the artistry and talent that golf truly embodies.

Additional contests, like the longest drive, further energized the attendees. And once the sun began to set and golfers packed away their clubs, the event continued to buzz with excitement. An extensive raffle, with dozens of items up for grabs, capped off the day, thanks to the generosity of various donors.

Industry Analysts, among several other notable industry organizations such as Stramaglio Consulting and BPO Media, also contributed to the tournament, reinforcing the collective effort and dedication towards the cause.

With a seamless blend of fun, competition, and generosity, the Puttin On the Pink golf tournament of 2023 not only raised funds but also spirits. It was a testament to what a community can achieve when united for a noble cause.
