MELVILLE, NY, August 1, 2023 – Canon U.S.A., Inc. a leader in digital imaging solutions, and one of the premier sponsors of the New York Yankees, recently celebrated the 19th Annual Canon Promotional Night at Yankee Stadium during the game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees.  The Canon Promotional Night at Yankee Stadium brings together employees from Canon U.S.A. and Canon Solutions America, Canon’s business partners and customers for a fun evening of activities and camaraderie.

In addition to the first 18,000 attendees receiving a commemorative cap with both the Canon and Yankees logos, this year’s event focused on raising awareness of cancer treatment and research, featuring a special tribute to the American Cancer Society.

For 25 years, Canon has been the flagship sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign, which has grown into one of the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movements. Over the years, Canon has also organized several teams of employees to participate in events in communities throughout the country where offices are located, including Long Island, NY, where Canon has been headquartered for more than 50 years. These 3-to-5-mile noncompetitive walks provide a supportive sense of community for walkers, runners and volunteers to honor cancer survivors and raise awareness and support.

“The American Cancer Society is grateful to Canon for welcoming us at its annual Promotional Night at Yankee Stadium and for its extraordinary generosity and unwavering commitment to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families; ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer,” said Katie Goepfrich Schafer, executive director, American Cancer Society.  “Canon’s support will have a significant impact on the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it for everyone.”
