The recent print management panel discussion, hosted by Andy Slawetsky of Industry Analysts Inc., brought together industry experts to discuss the pivotal themes of Cloud, Security, and Sustainability within the print management industry. The panel featured two distributors of the very popular PaperCut solutions; Mark Hart, VP at ACDI, Dominick Bracero, VP at ecoprintQ. The panel also featured Martin Janus, CEO of MyQanother leading print management software company, and Robbie Morris, Solutions Specialist with MyQ.

The conversation around Cloud began with Dominick sharing his experience transitioning print management solutions to the cloud, acknowledging that while challenges existed, the benefits far outweighed them. Mark then spoke about the competitive edge they have gained through cloud-based print management solutions, emphasizing their convenience and efficiency. Martin of MyQ, highlighted how cloud technologies are propelling print management into the future and Robbie explained the role of the cloud in adding value for office equipment resellers.

The panelists then delved into Security, a pressing concern in the print management industry. Mark began, highlighting several essential security features he believes should be inherent in every print management solution. Dominick shared ecoprintQ’s commitment to secure print management for its customers. Martin then discussed evolving security threats and how MyQ is proactively addressing them to stay ahead. Finally, Robbie discussed how security is an integral part of his discussions with office equipment dealers and resellers. All agreed that security is only as good as the company installing and keeping it updated.

The final theme, Sustainability, proved a hot topic. Dominick detailed how ecoprintQ integrates sustainability into its strategies, even replanting trees as part of one program. Mark explained how the increasing emphasis on sustainability is significantly impacting the print management software market before Martin talked about MyQ’s sustainability initiatives and the positive response they’ve received from the market. Robbie concluded the topic discussing the increasing importance of sustainability in purchasing decisions and how office equipment resellers can leverage this trend.

This panel represents the comments from two very popular US-based PaperCut distributors; ACDI and ecoprintQ. MyQ and PaperCut are direct competitors and represent two of the most popular print management solutions being sold in the office equipment reseller channel. We appreciate the willingness and openness of all parties involved in this panel that brought these direct competitors together to discuss common industry issues.
