UTEC is an office technology company in Ann Arbor, MI. Each year, this Sharp, Kyocera and Epson reseller puts on a March Madness customer event during the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and after taking two-years off due to the Pandemic, 2022 saw it’s glorious return. 
Customers came for lots of food, drinks, raffles and of course, college basketball!
UTEC had assembled a nine-tile display wall built from Sharp Professional LCD Monitors, showcasing the available display technology to the nearly 300 customers who came through that afternoon. 
They even had the games running on the touch screen of the Sharp production print device sitting in their demo room, one of the best new features I’ve seen on an MFP in a while.
On the other side of the room Epson had their own area where they had wide format and high-speed inkjet printers for customers to see throughout the day.
The Sharp displays showing the tournament were everywhere, but UTEC also had a golf simulator set up in one area.
Besides several beers on tap and a bourbon tasting table, UTEC also managed a miracle comeback from the local Michigan Wolverines who have now made the Sweet 16 after a scary first game.
What’s better than the Wolverines coming back to win after being down by 15? How about seeing it on a 9-screen display in Ann Arbor?
Besides personnel from Sharp and Epson, Krystal Cook from ACDI made the trip. It was great seeing everyone!

It was a great day for UTEC and it was nice to see they got such a positive response from their customers after taking two years off from hosting this annual event. I look forward to next years’!
