Victor, NY – May 8, 2025 – Interest in the inaugural What’s Happenin’ Cares Charity Golf Tournament has been overwhelming, with all foursomes for Oakland Hills Country Club’s famed South Course officially sold out. With just a few North Course spots left and over 120 golfers already registered, now is the time to sign up before registration closes on June 15.

The tournament, scheduled for Monday, August 18, brings together the office technology industry to raise money for the American Cancer Society in memory of Sandy Lowery. Sandy was the wife of John Lowery and mother to Casey and Kyle Lowery of Applied Innovation.

Players from across the industry have committed to the event, including representatives from resellers, OEMs, leasing partners, and solution providers. Platinum sponsors include GreatAmerica, Konica Minolta, Sharp Electronics, and Xerox, with additional support from Toshiba, PaperCut, PEAC Solutions and others. All A3 manufacturers will be sending foursomes to Michigan for the event! So will partner venders and dealers.

A welcome reception is planned for Sunday evening, August 17, at the official tournament hotel. Details on hotel accommodations will be released shortly.

“This event has taken off faster than we expected,” said Andy Slawetsky, President of Industry Analysts, Inc. and founder of What’s Happenin’ Cares. “The South Course filled up quickly, and now the remaining North Course spots are going fast. We’re grateful to the sponsors and the industry for stepping up to make this such a strong first-year event.”
