I’m testing several of Samsung’s newest A3 copiers to see if I can get them to a million printed pages. I’m also running a million scans on them too.

I’ve been really pushing my scanning on both the monochrome Samsung K7600GX and the color X7600GX MFPs (copiers). These machines both have  dual 120 ipm (image per minute) scanners, meaning it grabs both sides of the page on one pass through the feeder. That comes to a blazing 240 images per minute.

As soon as I sit down it’s literally time to get back up and reload the document handler. The feeder is supposed to hold 250 sheets but I’ve been running 280 pages through it with no problem for several days now. That’s 30 pages more than it’s published spec.

200 scanned pages in 2 days

Both machines did over 50,000 scans yesterday for a total of more than 100,000 scans. I’m almost through today’s session of another 50k per machine. Misfeeds are very rare and only seem to occur when I jam too many pages into the feeder or they start getting ratty and dog eared. I’ve used the same originals for dozens of scans and the feeder has no problem when them.

Here are a couple of pictures of the two stars from yesterday.
