Autohaus Müller, a BMW dealership, had a manual archival process, which required the use of several printing devices. This manual process was
time consuming and costly, and caused the client to lose large amounts of documentation.
Solution
A printing solutions company, KRAMM Büro-Systeme, redesigned the dealer- ship’s printing environment using the Samsung MultiXpress 6555N multifunction printer (MFP).
Results
The implementation of the Samsung MultiXpress 6555N MFP transformed the dealership’s printing and archiving process, improved workflow, automated the archiving process, reduced costs and saved time.

About the client
Autohaus Müller is the largest BMW dealership in Leipzig, Germany. Founded more than 80 years ago, the company has 158 employees across six branches and has contracts in place to sell BMW, Mini, Skoda and Seat vehi- cles. In addition to new and used cars sales and leasing, branches provide high-quality servicing, repairs, parts and accessories.
Challenge
Autohaus Müller’s branches must keep an archive of all printed contracts, invoices and repair reports. Every day, Autohaus Müller staff copied documents to archive hardcopies at each branch. However, the workflow and equipment used to perform these tasks were complex and out of date. This archival process was ineffective, time consuming and costly, as branch staff lost large amounts of documentation. The company determined that its existing printing environment, which had grown over time to include a wide variety of printing devices, was incapable of meeting its day-to-day requirements and also that its costs were out of control.

Autohaus Müller commissioned Leipzig company KRAMM Büro-Systeme to create a professional document and printing solution. KRAMM Büro-Systeme combined its specialist car dealership software with appropriate printing equipment to redesign the dealership’s archiving and printing operation.
Solution

Autohaus Müller rapidly adapted the MultiXpress 6555N to work with the KRAMM Büro-Systeme software. In the past, staff manually copied and filed documents. Now, staff scan the documents using the Samsung device, and the software transfers the digital files to be saved in a central archive. The software automatically indexes documents so that staff can easily access information from multiple branches through a single network connection.
Staff use the multifunctionality of the Samsung MultiXpress 6555N for a variety of tasks: printing invoices and corre- spondence, faxing and personal copying. The staff particu- larly appreciate the device’s advanced features, rapid warm-up from standby and impressive printing and copying speed. If necessary, staff can load updated versions of software and firmware to the printer so that it can continue to meet the company’s and staff’s printing requirements long into the future.
As an eco-conscious manufacturer, Samsung places great importance on the environment and the health of users. Samsung’s MultiXpress 6555N has been awarded with the Blue Angel, a well known certification for environmentally friendly products. With Samsung’s S.T.A.R program, organizations can return used toner cartridges (with no postage charge) to be recycled or disposed of in accordance with environmental guidelines.
