Pharos’ President and CTO will be unveiling Beacon, the company’s new cloud platform for the first time at the Photizo Conference, in Louisville, Kentucky on June 2-5.

Keith Nickoloff, President, will present 35 Years of Lessons Learned, Common Sense is not so Common – highlighting underlying shifts in the industry that define Pharos’ unique point of view.  “Three key themes are redefining the business we believe we are in,” suggests Nickoloff. “At the core, Pharos recognizes that devices don’t print, people do (CLICK TO TWEET).

This fundamental shift changes how we should approach just about any problem related to printing. Secondly, our customers share with us that they see us in the business of change, not printing. Institutions recognize that the information world – and in particular printing – will be dramatically different in the coming years, and they are seeking help to guide their transition. And lastly, at the heart of both people and change is knowledge – real time, big data analytics to support decision making.”

Nickoloff and Pharos CTO, Fred Schempp will preview the integrated Beacon platform – a cloud print management system with a central dashboard that contains the essential metrics Pharos believes necessary to manage any print environment. “These are the metrics that our managers use to provide counsel and strategic direction to our managed accounts,” notes Nickoloff. Pharos provides onsite management personnel to several Fortune 100 organizations who outsource strategy and execution for printing.

Before Beacon, collecting and presenting key metrics could take days and sometimes weeks. As a consequence, many organizations rely on quarterly business reviews to assess what is going on.  That time is now reduced to minutes and hours.  Beacon aggregates information for nine categories: volume, users, cost, applications, color, duplex, devices, job characteristics and green metrics.  Each provides for drill down and multiple layers of views and analysis and custom reporting by category.
