Collobos Software introduces the most advanced enterprise printing software on the market.

Palo Alto, CA—Collobos Software has released version 2.5 of its Presto printing software.

Presto, first released in 2013, provides enterprises with secure, in-network printing for employees on a range of mobile and desktop devices. With a unified architecture, Presto is client- and printer-agnostic, bringing the same functionality to iOS, OS X, Android, and Chrome users, while minimizing the burden on IT personnel. Unlike other offerings on the market, Presto keeps all printing jobs in-network, removing the security risk and uncertainty introduced by cloud-based printing.

According to CEO Scott Herscher, “Enterprise printing is broken. From usability issues to networking problems to the cost of secure release hardware and maintenance of embedded firmware, it’s become a nightmare for IT departments. Presto’s technology solves these problems.”

Presto 2.5 offers a complete enterprise print solution, including mobile printing, printing from Windows and Mac OS X with built in drivers for centralized pull printing, and secure release management.

Presto 2.5 comes standard with support for Active Directory. Additional directory services are supported through flexible directory provider plug-ins. The directory provider plug-in framework supports username/password, PIN code, and IP address authentication.

Collobos Software is committed to providing true cross-platform support for printing, rather than the mere promise of it. Presto 2.5 is the most advanced enterprise printing software on the market.
