Facility Boasts CIG’s Signature Robotics and Automation to Ensure Consistent Cartridge Quality
Chicago, Ill. – August 30, 2016 – To stay ahead of the competition in an increasingly competitive global marketplace, Clover Imaging Group’s Mexicali, Mexico locations recently combined and optimized into one state-of-the-art facility. Clover Mexico is now one campus encompassing color and mono toner manufacturing, empties processing, parts reclamation, fuser manufacturing, recycling, and packaging.
The modernized facility features more than 560,000 sq. ft. and houses 3,500 associates, increasing Clover Mexico’s production capacity to more than 1 million laser cartridges per month.
“Not only is Clover increasing our manufacturing capacity but we are also ensuring quality improvement thanks to our substantial investment into engineering innovations in the new space,” said Ino Landa, EVP and General Manager, Clover Mexico. “This move is strategic in supporting our vertical integration strategy and controlling the entire process in one facility.”
This new state-of-the-art facility features some of CIG’s most technologically advanced process-enhancing tools, machines, and robots to support its sophisticated global manufacturing environments — increasing product consistency and quality. CIG contributes this increase in quality and performance to the highly automated production environment, enabling CIG to produce the highest-quality remanufactured products on the market with defect rates that rival the OEMs.
Clover Mexico recently achieved the R2:2013 Standard, the premier global environmental, worker health and safety standard for the electronics refurbishing and recycling industry. In addition, this facility is the heart of Clover’s cartridge collection operation and processes nearly 3,000,000 cartridges a month.
