Langenhagen, Germany, 30 September 2019

There’s no success in business without a degree of risk, but particularly the data security risks facing today’s businesses are unprecedented: As organisations embrace digitalisation to stay competitive, their potential exposure to ever-more sophisticated cyber security threats increases. Held throughout October, European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) is an annual awareness campaign from the European Union (EU) to promote a better understanding of these challenges. During ECSM, Konica Minolta will be holding events in France and Germany that will help businesses learn how to assess and manage and successfully combat cyber threats.

Organised annually by the European Union’s Cybersecurity Agency, ENISA, European Cyber Security Month includes events and initiatives across Europe. The campaign aims to raise awareness of cyber security threats, promote digital security among citizens and organisations and provide resources for online safety that includes education and sharing of best practices. Konica Minolta, which helps its customers fulfil even the strictest cyber security requirements through its IT services, is supporting ECSM once again in 2019 with dedicated events focused on the needs of businesses.

“In our fast-changing, digital-first world, the added complexity of ever- evolving cyber security threats is only adding to the burden of expectations on IT departments,” says Yoann Fortini, ITS Business Development Manager, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. “Yet, with an expert partner such as Konica Minolta, businesses can have the confidence to innovate to stay competitive – enabling agile working practices, while at the same time maintaining a resilient and highly secure infrastructure. By taking an active role in ECSM we are proud to help promote a better understanding of not just the risks, but also the opportunities available when those risks are professionally mitigated.”

Konica Minolta helps companies secure their business processes and hardware to prevent information leaks and create secure working environments. Its IT services include data protection and recovery, anti-malware, and cyber security. During ECSM 2019, Konica Minolta will be holding a series of events in France and Germany:
