SCHAUMBURG and CAROL STREAM, IL, and CHESTERTON, IN, Issued September 26, 2019…Pulse Technology (http://pulsetechnology.com), a leading technology company serving the Managed Print Services, Managed Network (IT) and office supplies/furniture needs of Greater Chicago and Northern Indiana, will soon significantly expand its Promotional Products Division with an introduction of this service into their Illinois market.

Pulse Technology is the rebranded name for Des Plaines Office Equipment, which has served businesses since 1955 and Indiana based Kramer Leonard McShane’s, with roots dating back to 1921. Over the years, the firm has expanded upon its offerings of Managed Print Services to include Managed Network (IT), office furniture sales and design, and the sale of office products. With the development of the firm’s eCommerce site, Pulse Technology will expand its Promotional Products Division and offer a wide array of products, with logos imprinted, to its customers throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Chip Miceli, president of Pulse Technology, said that his team has been developing a plan to expand this service, which has been part of the offerings of their Indiana location, and now ramp it up to include their three Illinois locations as well as a strong marketing effort through their eCommerce website. He said that it was feedback from their customers that is leading them in this direction. “We increasingly seek to be a one stop shop for our business customers,’ he said. “In addition to Managed Print and Managed Network, we provide a wide range of products and services, from furniture to break room products and virtually any office product a business needs. It seemed that promotional products, which has been largely confined to our Chesterton location, will be a tremendous additional “value add” to our customers, providing them the means to market their own products and services to their customers.”

Miceli and his team will introduce the additional service to their Illinois locations throughout the fall, and will additionally expand its presence in the Indiana market. The team has attended a number of seminars and trade shows in preparation for this planned expansion. “We have seen over the years the marketing value of having our names on products, and many of our customers have as well. As we continue to expand, our continuing mission is to provide the products and services that our customers need to succeed in their businesses.”

He said, “We are now in a position for both our Indiana and Illinois markets where we can provide the latest in document generation equipment and the supporting technology, IT services, archiving, video conferencing, office furniture design and sales, office product needs, and promotional products to help our customers spread the word further about their own businesses.” He added, “In particular, we expect adding this to the mix in Illinois will be well received, just as adding IT services in Indiana has been.”

The firm will market its expanded product line both through an online website (ecommerce), as well as having representatives at each of their four locations to meet the needs of their customers.

“Our goal is to have the most popular products where businesses typically could put a logo on,” said Miceli, adding that the offerings will include mugs, pens, books, notebooks, apparel of all kind, glasses, bottles, USBs, and more. He said he anticipates that promotional products will become a significant portion of the growing firm’s business over the next five years.

As the company develops its new product line, Pulse Technology also prepares to relocate its corporate headquarters to Schaumburg, IL, in a 36,500 square foot facility at 201 East Commerce Drive.  Pulse Technology is in the process of having the building retrofitted to suit the company’s needs. The building will be energy efficient and state-of-the-art. Miceli said that the new headquarters will have large, state of the art video walls for demonstrations and meetings, which will be complemented by a showroom featuring the latest in copiers, multifunction printers, and other office equipment, as well as their furniture and promotional products lines.
