One the largest mutual fund companies found printing presented a significant risk to data confidentiality. With investment brokers having access to valuable client data, basic pull printing was not enough to avoid data breaches due to printing documents. The customer wanted to proactively monitor the content being printed by high risk staff to eliminate insider threats.
Working together with the FollowMe partner and customer, print processes of high risk staff were reviewed and data loss prevention (DLP) print policies were implemented to control valuable intellectual property. The company specifically wanted to have a digital copy of suspect documents being printed and leveraged the Print Archiving capabilities of FollowMe.
