CLOUD, MINN., JULY 1, 2020— Marco announces the launch of its new podcast, Let’s Tech. The podcast will begin airing July 8, 2020, and will offer timely business and technology insights from a company that specializes in business IT.

Each 45-minute episode will be hosted by Marco CEO Jeff Gau and President Doug Albregts. The topics will range from business best practices to new technology trends to becoming a more effective leader. The duo will also bring in industry experts and community leaders to share their insights on featured topics.

Marco started as a small typewriter dealer in 1973 and transformed into one of the top business technology companies in the country. Gau says he knows firsthand how quickly technology can change and how those changes can impact the momentum of a business.

“What worked yesterday doesn’t always work today, and it’s even less likely to work tomorrow,” said Gau. “It can be difficult to sort out all of the changes—from security to the Cloud to document management—and know what’s worth implementing and what’s not. Let’s Tech will help answer those questions and a wide range of others facing businesses today.”

Gau has been sharing leadership insights since 2010 through his bi-weekly blog, aleadershipculture.com. He’s written over 250 blogs on topics such as failing forward faster, navigating barriers, hearing what isn’t said, and building a culture of trust. He says Let’s Tech allows him to connect with an audience in a new way.

“Let’s Tech extends our communication to a broader audience in a more personal way,” said Gau. “Hearing a conversation allows the listener to become a more active participant. The spoken format also enables Doug and I—and the guests who will join us—to share insights more organically. We’re excited to evolve the conversation.”

Gau joined Marco in 1984 as a sales representative and was appointed President of Marco in 2004 and CEO in 2006.  Since taking the helm, Gau has led the company through aggressive growth and opportunities. His insights on leadership, growth strategies and building a high-performance culture that delivers consistently high marks in client satisfaction have made him a coveted speaker. He’s also a frequent winner of industry awards, including 100 People to Know from Twin Cities Business Magazine, Most Admired CEO from Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, Entrepreneur of the Year for Upper Midwest from Ernest & Young, and Community Impact Awards Good Leader Finalist from Minnesota Business Magazine.

Gau’s co-host, Doug Albregts, also brings a long list of achievements to the podcast table. His career spans 28 years serving diverse industries in both private and publicly traded international companies. Before joining Marco, Albregts served as the Group Chief Executive Officer at Scientific Games, leading the strategic growth plans for the Gaming Division, which encompassed $2B in revenue and over 4,000 employees worldwide. Prior to Scientific Games, he served as numerous senior executive level positions at Sharp Electronics Corporation of America, and he held executive management roles focused on enterprise growth in companies such as American Express; NEC; Samsung; Canvys, a Division of Richardson Electronics; and Golden Books Publishing.

Albregts was shortlisted for Executive of the Year at the prestigious ICE International Gaming Awards in London, England, and he served on the United Nations Business Council as one of its technology representatives. He’s been a keynote speaker at numerous industry-leading events such as the Consumer Electronics Show, Digital Signage Expo and Dig South Interactive and for groups including the Business Technology Association and the Copier Dealers Association.

“Marco is a dynamic company with a rich culture in cutting-edge technology,” said Albregts. “It’s a privilege to be on board with Jeff and other knowledgeable guests to bring creative and relevant dialogue around technology and innovation to our listeners. Doing anything like this with Jeff is a sure-fire way to blend entertainment and knowledge, but, even more importantly, to provide a unique spin on technology that matters most to businesses.”
