Konica Minolta is finally leaving the Connecticut offices that housed the Konica HQ before the 2003 merger. It’s surprising they kept those offices as long as they have, but father time has caught up with the Day Hill Road location and it’s finally closing the doors to that facility.

With that, KM is laying off all 431 employees and workers will be offered positions at the Ramsey NJ HQ. Here’s more on the move from hartfordbusiness.com

By HOWARD FRENCH – Business equipment supplier Konica Minolta says it will start laying off workers in July as it prepares to close both its 500 Day Hill Road and 550 Marshall Phelps Road facilities in September 2019.

The company notified the Labor Department that layoffs will begin July 23 and continue in phases until both operations close on Sept. 30, 2019.

The company in November said it planned to shutter its Windsor operations over the next 18 months and lay off all 431 employees, as it consolidates operations at its New Jersey headquarters. The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed Tuesday is the first to specify layoff and closing dates.
