CAROL STREAM, IL and CHESTERTON, IN, Issued May 13, 2019…Pulse Technology (http://pulsetechnology.com), the new forward looking brand for Des Plaines Office Equipment and Kramer & Leonard McShane’s, celebrated Earth Day this spring with a renewed and enhanced recycling program for its clients.

“Every day is Earth Day at Pulse Technology,” said CEO Chip Miceli, who said that their company has unveiled a new Toner Recycling Program.

Pulse works hand in hand with a company called “Close the Loop” that recycles their Sharp and Copystar toners; Pulse supplies a box to each of their clients to collect the old toners and dispatches a technician to pick up the boxes full of toner cartridges from each client.  For the toners from machines that are not Copystar or Sharp, Pulse works with a different company, Clover Imaging Group, to recycle the other toner cartridges. Pulse ends up sending more than five pallets of old toners to recycle each quarter. Pulse also recycles both Canon and HP toner.

“Recycling is important for the environment,” said Miceli, adding, “We don’t look at our recycling efforts as a way to increase our earnings. In fact, it costs us more to operate the program than we take in, but we are committed to recycling and conservation and believe it’s a worthwhile investment.”

In addition to its Toner Recycling Programs, Pulse provides a variety of other services and programs which seek to conserve on resources, including their Managed Print Services (MPS) programs, designed to help businesses lower both the per page cost of generating documents as well as the number of actual documents needed. The firm also strongly encourages archiving solutions and works to design document programs geared toward helping companies become as “paperless” as possible.
