By Jeff Gau, Marco CEO – Securing the future of your dealership will require you to make a move. For some, it may mean preparing to sell to cash in on a favorable market. For others, it will require an investment to make Managed IT Services a replacement for declining recurring copier revenue.
There are three key ways to make the move to Managed IT Services:
- Build it.
The build-out to execute on Managed IT takes a minimum investment of about $500,000. This is how we initially got our start at Marco and it has proved successful. - Buy it.
Adding Managed IT by acquiring a business that is currently offering. it certainly is an option, but make sure you get what you are paying for. - Outsource it.
It has become more common to develop a partnership to outsource Managed IT. It may look like the easiest, but it doesn’t drive the same enterprise value.
