Konica Minolta Senior Vice President of Marketing, Kay Fernandez, Recognized for Outstanding Achievements, Named YWCA Bergen County TWIN Honoree

Ramsey, NJ – December 12, 2017 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) announced today that Kay Fernandez, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Konica Minolta, has been named an honoree by Tribute to Women of INfluence (TWIN), an initiative of YWCA Bergen County that recognizes women who have excelled in their fields and made significant contributions to create cultures in which women can thrive. The award was presented on December 7, 2017 at TWIN’s 42nd celebration at Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant in Hackensack, NJ.

“I am honored to accept this award as recognition for the efforts that Konica Minolta has made to support and inspire women within our organization. Our leadership team is committed to ensuring women are represented and have opportunities to lead,” said Fernandez. “Just as important, is fostering a collaborative and supportive culture that encourages advocacy. We have amazing employees, specifically the women of Konica Minolta. The more women support each other, the stronger we are together.”

The award highlights the work of exceptional women that have been nominated and honored by their firm’s executives, and also recognizes the role of employers in providing advancement opportunities for women in the workplace. Honorees and their organizations are celebrated with the TWIN event, media recognition, and year-long acknowledgement as part of YWCA Bergen County’s

mission to empower women and girls. TWIN honorees are selected by leading Bergen County (NJ) businesses and organizations based on their outstanding achievements in their organizations as well as contributions to their communities.

The event’s keynote speaker, Melba Wilson, founder of Melba’s Restaurant in New York City, explored how reinvesting in our local communities is at the heart of success.

“Kay Fernandez and all of our 2017 TWIN honorees are women of influence, action, and commitment who are key to extending opportunities to other women to learn, grow, and lead,” says Helen Archontou, CEO, YWCA Bergen County. “Their organizations provide environments that make this continual process of development and renewal possible, creating opportunities for more women to become leaders in the workplace and the community.”
