Guests in Lufthansa lounges benefit from Konica Minolta’s free printing and copying service. All Lufthansa lounges in Germany have already been equipped with WiFi-enabled multifunctional systems. The Konica Minolta service will be rolled out to all Lufthansa lounges around the world in the course of this year to facilitate guests’ mobile work.

A large number of studies show that the proportion of people performing mobile work at a wide range of locations is constantly growing. As an IT services provider and partner for business digitalisation, Konica Minolta supports this development with smart business and IT solutions.

Lufthansa has now turned to Konica Minolta as its partner to further increase mobile convenience for its lounge guests. Lufthansa guests at all lounges within Germany are already benefiting from WiFi-enabled multifunctional systems and Konica Minolta’s cloud-based “Secure Guest Print” service. The same service will be available globally at all Lufthansa lounges in the course of 2018.

“We spent a long time looking for a secure and reliable printing and copying solution for our lounge areas that offers our guests extreme ease of use. We found the right partner for this in Konica Minolta. The current user figures in Frankfurt and Munich show that the new service is proving to be very popular with our guests”, explains Kathrin Schmittner, Manager of Lounge Projects at Lufthansa AG.

A simple and intuitive user interface for multifunctional systems is an important factor for Konica Minolta in ensuring customer satisfaction. And guests in Lufthansa’s lounges are now benefiting from this, too. They can simply send their documents to a specific email address and then receive a PIN code that they use for printing on the system. Secure Guest Print, an app from Konica Minolta’s bizhub Evolution on-demand platform is used for this purpose in order to meet the most stringent security requirements. Moreover, all guests can use the free copying service without a code. The integration of a scanning function is planned for the future.

“At Konica Minolta, we are firmly convinced that, in future, work will be a situation rather than a place. This is why we are using a wide range of smart solutions to promote mobile working, and we are delighted that we have been able to inspire Lufthansa with our concepts”, says Johannes Bischof, President, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland.
