sysHUB’s print services gain advantages from upgraded output management capabilities.

  • Enhanced direct print in Zero Trust environments via uniFLOW Online
  • Print job progress visualization
  • PRISMAsync job order synchronization
  • Optimized print operator UI

With sysHUB’s uniFLOW Online adapter, organizations can connect sysHUB to uniFLOW Online to benefit from direct printing in micro-segmented Zero Trust network environments. The updated adapter allows direct print jobs to be submitted to devices in any uniFLOW Online location. To continuously improve the output management capabilities, various page counting options have been added to determine job size, and communication with PRISMAsync devices has been enhanced. Further improvements have been added to the WebClient, e.g., a new column to show the job ticket location, including a job ticket viewing option as part of sysHUBs “Queue” view. The latest release refines sysHUB’s usability, performance, and user experience.

Enhanced direct print and Zero Trust support with uniFLOW Online

In the traditional office, PCs and printers are typically on the same network or split into different virtual networks (VLANs), bridging the gap with a print server. If one PC becomes infected or compromised, the issue may spread because it can ‘talk’ to anyone else. With a full Zero Trust micro-segmented network, companies secure business-critical data by isolating each network endpoint as much as possible from all other network points. The updated uniFLOW Online Adapter enables direct printing to devices in any uniFLOW Online location in micro-segmented Zero Trust network environments. Print jobs submitted from a connected application are sent to sysHUB for further processing and then handed over to uniFLOW Online to be released directly at any Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE device.

Print job progress visualization

New page count processes have been implemented to determine the upfront print job size and to visualize job progress while printing. In addition, print operators can use the job size to route print jobs to the right output device.

PRISMAsync job order synchronization

The IPP adapter transaction mode allows sysHUB to connect to PRISMAsync devices. A new IP address extension has been introduced to allow print operators to rearrange the job order directly at a PRISMAsync device while the job list in sysHUB is updated accordingly.

Optimized print operator UI

A new column and a job ticket viewing option have become default part of the sysHUB queue view. The column shows the job ticket location if a ticket is attached to the print job. The viewing button allows to view the job ticket directly in sysHUB.
