By Jake Slawetsky, Industry Analysts: I had the opportunity to attend the Xerox Production Summit, hosted by Xerox at the Gil Hatch Center in Webster, NY. The event for office equipment resellers, ran from October 15th to 17th and brought together professionals from the print and imaging industry to see What’s Happenin’ at Xerox.
The summit kicked off with a fun evening of barbecue at Rochester’s iconic Dinosaur BBQ, where attendees enjoyed great food and conversation in a relaxed honkey tonk setting. The following day, I was welcomed to the Gil Hatch Center by Jayne Tuma and Richard Schaublin of Xerox, who graciously hosted me throughout the event.
Xerox presented three of its standout products that are driving excitement within the industry:
- PrimeLink 9200 – Recently unveiled at PRINTING United, this solution is designed to meet the evolving needs of businesses aiming to grow their production capabilities.
- Iridesse Production Press – With the ability to print metallic, clear, and specialty inks in one pass, the Iridesse remains a game-changer for creative and high-value print jobs.
- Versant 280 & 4100 – Both models prioritize automation
During the tour, I had the chance to walk through the facility and see these technologies in action. Groups of attendees were guided through the various stations, where Xerox experts provided detailed demonstrations and explained how these solutions address modern industry challenges. Seeing the equipment operate on the floor added a practical, hands-on dimension to the summit, highlighting the impressive capabilities of Xerox’s lineup.
Whether it was the precision of the Versant models or the unique print effects achieved with the Iridesse, every machine on the floor showed Xerox’s expertise in production printing.
The summit provided an opportunity for office equipment resellers to exchange ideas and build connections. Tuma, Schaublin, and the entire Xerox team ensured the event ran smoothly, guiding attendees through product demonstrations and discussions. Regular training sessions like these are one of the things that makes Xerox a great production print partner for dealers.
