Ricoh is delivering enhancements to its RICOH Smart Integration (RSI) platform with new applications that enhance functionality by significantly improving the administration and end-user experience.

The enhancements continue to build upon the RSI advancements announced in June 2020 that enable organizations to simplify day-to-day activities leveraging cloud-based technology, collaborate from wherever work is being done, and meet productivity requirements to drive digital transformation.

RSI 2.0 includes proprietary Ricoh OCR technology that automatically extracts data from a scanned document and routes it to the right place in a system (including automated naming convention, folder production, and field population), saving substantial time on manual data entry and preventing the possible introduction of human error. For example, when scanning an invoice, the system can automatically extract the invoice number, total amount, line item details, company name, etc. and use those values to route the scanned document and populate the fields in the accounting system.

RSI technology is available in a scalable, modular subscription model to fit evolving digital productivity requirements and unlike other offerings, does not require an embedded client, but rather, has browser integration with a machine’s native features like scanning and printing. Licensing with RSI 2.0 moves from a user-based to device-based system allowing customers unlimited users and simplifies configuration.
