The 9th annual “Puttin’ on the Pink” charity golf tournament, one of the largest fundraising events in the office equipment industry, recently held its latest event just outside of Atlanta at the picturesque Chateau Elan. After years of steady growth, event organizers Suzanne Olszewski, Bruce Nelson and others have ensured the tournament has outgrown its previous location, showing just how much this fundraiser has expanded.

The tournament featured some familiar highlights, including the popular helicopter ball drop, a fan favorite from last year. This year saw participation from a wide array of sponsors, led by title sponsors Hytec and Ricoh.

In an exciting development, MyQ Solutions, a print management software company from the Czech Republic, joined as a major sponsor for the first time.

Our publication, Industry Analysts, Inc., proudly sponsored a hole and a flag, alongside many other companies in the industry.

Stramaglio Consulting’s industry group, The Consortium, played a significant role in securing sponsorships, with companies such as ACDI, Mars International, ARCOA, GreatAmerica, US Bank, ConnectWise, TD Synnex, Bob Goldberg, FP Mailing, BTA and Keypoint Intelligence all contributing. In a last-minute show of generosity, Frank Cucco of Impact Networking bought up the remaining 18 flags, ensuring no opportunities for sponsorship were left on the table. There were many more, but these companies also sponsor this publication. Check our photos to see the full sponsor list.

For the first time, the number of industry and local companies involved reached an all-time high, as did the number of golfers—nearly 180 participated this year. The event raised close to $200,000, smashing previous records, and by the time this article is published, it’s expected that the total will have exceeded $200,000.

The day was filled with fun challenges and exciting prizes, from a chance to win a free pickup truck to a million-dollar shot, along with holes where golfers faced off against pros, an auction and even an air gun that launched golf balls down the course.

Ricoh’s CEO, Carsten Bruhn, attended to lend his support, further elevating the event’s stature. The funds raised will go directly toward the fight against breast cancer, benefitting the American Cancer Society.

This year’s “Puttin’ on the Pink” tournament once again proved to be an overwhelming success, showing the office equipment industry’s commitment to making a difference.
