uniFLOW Online 2024.3 introduces the uniFLOW Online Embedded Applet for Lexmark, a new milestone in multi-vendor support, enabling the connection of Lexmark devices to uniFLOW Online. In addition, iManage Cloud has been added as a new scan destination, allowing users to store their documents directly in their iManage Cloud workspaces. Also, the uniFLOW SmartClient has been improved and now includes an auto-update functionality to keep the software up to date.
uniFLOW Online Embedded Applet for Lexmark
The launch of the new uniFLOW Online Embedded Applet for Lexmark marks a significant milestone in uniFLOW Online’s multi-vendor support. Next to the Canon and Lexmark device support, soon also embedded applets for other brands will be introduced.
The new applet lets administrators connect Lexmark devices to uniFLOW Online using a straightforward wizard. Lexmark devices are fully operational in Zero Trust environments, just like Canon devices, fulfilling the highest IT network requirements. Users can authenticate, print securely, and use the mobile print features, all with the same modern look & feel as on the Canon devices. In addition, all print, copy, scan, and fax activity are tracked and accounted for.
Automated uniFLOW SmartClient updater
Keeping installed software up to date is a recurring and crucial task for IT departments. The new auto-update functionality enhances the management capabilities of the uniFLOW SmartClient, minimizing the IT department’s effort while ensuring client PCs are always running the latest software. As soon as a new uniFLOW SmartClient version is available, the administrator can initiate the auto-update of all relevant uniFLOW SmartClients. Updating is now also possible without giving the user elevated permissions. In addition, administrators can control access to various installer packages and generate a report on who has what version of the installer package.
New scan destination: iManage Cloud
iManage Cloud is a document management system with a strong presence in the legal market. When scanning to iManage Cloud with uniFLOW Online, users can browse the iManage Cloud folders, and documents can be scanned directly into the correct folder, including meaningful file names. Metadata entry can be done directly on the device or using a Filing Assist scan workflow.
