19 July 2024, London, UK – For the fourth year in a row, IDC has ranked PaperCut number 1 in its IDC, Worldwide and U.S Device and Print Management Market Shares, 2023: Transition to the Cloud Accelerates (doc # US50780624 , June 2024) report, with a 14.7% market share. In addition to that achievement, IDC also reports that PaperCut leads all other Independent Software Vendors in Year on Year growth at 17.7%.

PaperCut’s 2023 revenues were 5.1% stronger than predicted. Looking ahead, IDC predicts further growth opportunities will arise from increasing cloud-based sales as SMBs opt for public cloud solutions while, at the same time, more enterprises and governments migrate from on-premise to private cloud deployments. IDC also anticipates that the weakening economic outlook will drive more organisations to analyse where they can reduce costs; which is one of the many benefits of implementing a print management solution.

PaperCut’s strategy and its solutions align with modern market requirements in the hybrid-working era. They meet the need for cloud-based offerings, provide the flexibility of subscription pricing options, offer enhanced security and are optimised for the needs of vertical sector customers. They also offer easy integration and compatibility with third party hardware products and software applications, simplifying deployment, maintenance and day-to-day use.

Furthermore, in the last 12 months, PaperCut attained ISO 27001 and BCorp certification. Those add to its credentials as a security and sustainability print leader, as well as a trusted partner to its channel partners and end users.

Commenting on the report, Steve Holmes, PaperCut’s Head of Global Sales & Channels/EMEA GM, said: “PaperCut has worked extremely hard to make our solutions even more secure as well as easy to buy, deploy, maintain and to use. It is encouraging to see that customers have responded so positively to our efforts as reflected in our performance in the market. We’re committed to listening to our customers and our highly-valued channel partners, in order to continue to make print easy, secure and sustainable for all users.”

The IDC Market Share report provides the worldwide and U.S. market share data for the device management and print management markets in 2023. The document solutions market contains the device management, print management, and enterprise output management submarkets.
