SCHAUMBURG, IL, and CHESTERTON, IN,  ISSUED JULY 7, 2022…Pulse Technology (http://pulsetechnology.com), a technology company serving the IT, Managed Print Services and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, recently honored 14 of its top performers from their Illinois and Indiana locations with a week getaway to Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key, FL.

Pulse Technology President/CEO Chip Miceli said that the President’s Club is one of the ways that the company rewards top performing employees across a range of departments. Each year they plan a trip to a destination, although the last several were on hold because of Covid-19. Other destinations have included Hawaii and Alaska.  This year, the Pulse team who made the President’s Club included Tim Branion, Brenda Ruth, Andrew Warn, Brett Hill, Greg Fox, Nicole Miceli, Mildret Delgadillo, Cindy Schwerin, Kris Rodian, Stephen Sheridan, William Miceli and Mike Hawkinson.

The activities included nightly dinners together for most of the evenings, a trip to Key West, a chance to swim with the dolphins, sightseeing, and for some, the chance to be on a charter fishing excursion. “It’s a great place,” Mr. Miceli said, adding, “Plenty to do and a chance to have some fun with the people who we work with outside of the office setting.” He added, “We have always believed that, while compensation is important, there is much more to recognizing the contributions of our employees and we are pleased to be able to acknowledge and show our appreciation for their good work.”

Cindy Schwerin, who is with the Parts Purchasing Department at Pulse Technology’s Chesterton, IN location and her husband were part of the group. “It was a beautiful resort,” she said. “One of the activities available was that we could swim and interact with the dolphins. We didn’t swim but did watch the others who did. It really impressed us that the trainers had such greater interaction with the dolphins, almost as if the dolphins were pets.”

“We did have fun on an offshore fishing charter,” she said. “There were five us who went; it was an all-day charter.  We all caught 17 mahi mahi fish, the captain of the ship filleted them for us and the restaurant cooked them as an evening meal.” Ms. Schwerin, who has been with the company since 1993 continued, “The activities were fun, and it was great to be able to interact with co-workers on a casual level and get to know some people that we don’t see on a daily basis.”

Mildret Delgadillo, an Administrative Manager at Pulse Technology’s Schaumburg, IL location, has been on one other President’s Club trip prior to this one. “It was great,” she said. “I had always heard of Key West but had never been, so I liked being able to visit somewhere I have never seen before.”

The six-year Pulse Technology employee said, “It was great getting to know coworkers outside of work – getting to know what they do after work, and also getting to know people that I don’t see on a day-to-day basis. The whole trip was memorable and very relaxing. I really enjoyed the trip.”

Pulse Technology recently was named on the  2022 Best Places to Work in Illinois, marketing the second consecutive year it has been selected. The awards program, which began in 2006, is sponsored by HR Source Chicago and conducted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger and Best Companies Group.
