Elatec, a widely-used RFID technology company held their global sales meeting at their new US headquarters in Palm City FL June 21 – 23.
Elatec used to be a small German company focused on RFID for the print industry. Today, they have expanded into a variety of new areas including industrial, fitness, healthcare, gaming and more. They’ve grown a great deal both in terms of number of employees and annual revenue in the last few years, despite the Global Pandemic.
This year’s sales meeting saw people travel from over a dozen countries including the US, Germany, Poland, France and as far as Mongolia. Elatec is truly global.
The three-day event included product and company updates, strategy sessions and of course some time for fun.
During the food-truck barbeque lunch, the local award-winning high school robotics team showcased their technology. Elatec is one of several sponsors of this program. Very cool!

Elatec’s new offices are considerably larger than their previous building and with good reason. Besides the fact that they outgrew the old building, Elatec now manufactures certain RFID readers here in the US.
In fact, Elatec recently celebrated the shipment of the 100,000th unit shipped from this Florida facility! To my knowledge, they’re the only company in the imaging channel that can say they sell products Made in the USA.
