NASHVILLE, TN – By Andy Slawetsky –With over 900 attendees on the list for the Ole Red on Broadway, R.J. Young’s TechConnect 2025 event was one of the best customer events I’ve been to in recent memory. Office equipment resellers, technology professionals, and customers from across the Southeast gathered in downtown Nashville for an evening of networking, vendor showcases, and country music—capped off by a special performance from Trace Adkins.

The Nashville-based office technology provider brought customers and employees from more than two dozen offices throughout the region to the showcase event as a thank you and to meet with technology vendors from partner companies. Hosted at the iconic Ole Red bar/restaurant, the event brought together R.J. Young’s leadership team, employees from many of their 28+ branches, and representatives from 21 technology partners.

The event kicked off with a welcome from R.J. Young President and CEO AJ Baggott, followed by a brief appearance from longtime CEO Chip Crunk, who helped build the company into one of the top office technology providers in the U.S. Mike Keith, known as the “Voice of the Vols,” served as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies, keeping the energy high throughout the event.

Canon and Ricoh were the title sponsors, with additional support from Brother, HP, Lexmark, DocuWare and plenty of other vendor partners. Each had a nice presence at the event, participating in raffles, giveaways, and technology displays.

A highlight of the night was the $30,000 check presentation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a fantastic example of the ongoing philanthropy of stand-out companies in this industry. That generosity—combined with fun (trucker hat making station, cigars, a photography station), a packed venue and a performance from a country legend—made TechConnect 2025 a standout.

The event took place during CMA Fest week, adding a little extra buzz to the atmosphere on Broadway. You can’t have a bad time in Nashville and RJ Young was the perfect host. Getting people to attend a customer event can be challenging, but not for them!

From start to finish, this was a well- run, first-class customer event that showcased the strength of R.J. Young’s partner relationships and their deep roots in the Southeast. This was an event I’ll be talking about for a while!
