SCHAUMBURG, IL, Issued May 2, 2025… Pulse Technology (https://pulsetechnology.com), a technology company serving the IT, Managed Print Services, Audio- Visual and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, announced today that Paul Miceli, the company’s Director of Audio-Visual , has been named to the coveted “Difference Maker” list by the national trade journal ENX Magazine (www.enxmag.com).

Each year, ENX Magazine solicits peer and industry recommendations for the people who are making a difference in the industry. The ENX annual “Difference Maker” list appears on the ENX website (www.enxmag.com) and is published  in their May 2025 issue.

With a quarter century’s experience working at Pulse, dating back to his high school days, Paul  Miceli is leading a new division at the company, serving as Director of Audio-Visual (AV). Under this umbrella, the work includes digital signage, video walls (indoor and outdoor), LED walls, scoreboards, and more. The company has provided AV services for some time, but initially it fell under the IT department, where Paul previously worked. Miceli and his team have spun AV off into a separate department.

The concept changes AV from a commodity (“if it breaks, fix it or replace it”) to an ongoing monthly business model, introducing CRaaS (Conference Room as a Service) and AVaaS (Audio Visual as a Service) based loosely on the SaaS (Software as a Service) idea. Pulse Technology’s AV team works with clients who use conference rooms for a variety of ongoing concerns to manage their AV needs, and provides hardware, software, service, labor ad ongoing maintenance similar to what would happen under an MSP plan. Miceli plans to increase the number of CRaaS and AVaaS clients; their work includes indoor and outdoor venues. In addition to the Schaumburg (IL) Boomers scoreboard, their work has included a water park center for the Village of Elk Grove, and Olympic Park.

Paul Miceli studied at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and holds a number of industry certifications, including Sharp, Lenovo & MSPA. In his spare time, he races his Mustang on the road courses at the Autobahn and Gingerman. He lives on a farm and raises Rocky Mountain horses.

Erik Cagle, ENX editorial director, says, “The Difference Maker program is something of a unicorn in the industry, bringing together the best of the best from the dealer, manufacturer, distributor/supplier and software communities, along with other representatives who contribute to the industry.”

He continued, “We owe the success and notoriety of the Difference Maker recognition program to our readers. It’s the willingness of readers to invest time in painting a picture of the high-impact individuals in this industry that enables Difference Makers to carve out a niche. We are grateful for the efforts of our readers.”

Vince Miceli, Vice President of Technology Development at Pulse Technology, said, “Paul has taken the reins of the AV department and turned it from something that was once part of our IT services into its own stand-alone department. Both our clients and our company benefit from this arrangement; it truly does make a difference for both.  We congratulate Paul on this award and also congratulate the others from our industry who were selected. And we thank ENX Magazine for its leadership in our industry.”
