Summer is right around the corner, bringing with it vacations and road trips for families across the country. Given the large number of people with travel plans, it’s sure to be a fruitful season for hotels and resorts everywhere. However, there’s another way that hospitality properties can attract more guests and boost revenue throughout the year. Much like multifamily housing units, hotels and resorts are a logical host for electric vehicle charging stations as EV adoption continues to rise at a rapid pace.

Attract More Guests

Fueled by a growing commitment to clean and sustainable energy options, the EV revolution has already begun. According to reports from EVAdoption, approximately 50 percent of all new car sales are expected to be electric vehicles by 2030. While that may seem like the distant future, the number of EVs on the road has already jumped from 22,000 in 2011 to more than 2 million in 2021. With forecasts expecting a strong acceleration in electric vehicle adoption over the coming years, hotels and resorts have a lucrative opportunity to prepare for the impending transition and attract a network of new potential guests by installing EV charging stations.
