Flex Technology Group (FTG) gathered its top sales representatives and executives at the Wynn in Las Vegas for an annual sales kickoff event. Attendees arrived on February 26 and enjoyed a welcome reception sponsored by Canon USA, featuring a live band and mingling with FTG employees, execs and sponsors.

The meeting began the next morning when CEO Frank Gaspari took the stage to talk about FTG’s expansion—growing tenfold in just nine years. Known for a sales-centric background rooted in his Chicago days when he opened his first copier dealership, Gaspari wore a designer sweatsuit as only he can. Frank is a CEO who isn’t afraid to show some personality and style, forgoing a stodgy suit and tie that was once the norm in the office equipment industry. FTG is all about breaking the mold and it starts with their leader. His passionate opening session set the tone for the regional updates and acknowledgments of FTG’s leading sales performers who would each come on stage to receive their big check in front of their peers (see photos at bottom of page).

On a somber note, Frank paid tribute to the late industry legend Mike McGuirk, who was part owner of one of the dealers acquired by FTG during his opening session.  You can hear his comments in our video excerpt below.

Partner organizations also played a key role, sponsoring meals and entertainment. Hardware executives in attendance included Jim Coriddi from Ricoh USA, who was named Partner of the Year, along with Mason Olds and Karin Harrington of Canon USA, Laura Blackmer of Konica Minolta, Pete Salmon of Sharp, and Mary Hart of HP. Additional sponsors attending and/or supporting the event included Lexmark, GreatAmerica, Clover Imaging, US Bank, Wells Fargo, Distribution Management, ETHERFAX, Hytec, and DLL, as well as several others.

One of many highlights came from Mike Martos, FTG’s VP of Service, who shared the company’s recent service achievements. More than 330,000 assets from 37 vendors were serviced across over 27,000 ZIP codes, hitting a new high for FTG.  There are almost no office equipment resellers capable of servicing coast to coast, but Flex is one of them.

An additional emotional milestone came with the farewell to CFO Karen Roscher. After presenting the company’s latest financial numbers, she introduced her successor and received an outpouring of appreciation from colleagues and partners alike.

After some more employee recognition and closing remarks from Frank, the event finished up with a happy hour and dinner, bringing team FTG together one last time to celebrate another fantastic year.

FTG’s sales kickoff showed not only outstanding financial results but a consistent winning attitude from all corners of the US. As one of the elite office equipment resellers in the US, Flex continues to roll.
