AI like ChatGPT is already changing industries. Have you seen any real estate ads lately? It’s most likely been AI generated.

Ask any educator and they’ll tell you it’s been around for quite a while and schools now use software to help sniff out AI-written papers. The current version (3) launched June 11, 2020.

So why all the sudden buzz? Because Version 4 is expected to come sometime in 2023 and while the current version is mind-blowing, Version 4 will be exponentially better.

What exactly is ChatGPT? I asked it to explain just that as if it were speaking to a child and here’s an image of our conversation.

Be careful posting AI generated content. Google isn’t taking ChatGPT lightly and will punish websites who are using robots to create content. While Google may someday lose their throne, they’re still the current reigning champ of the internet.

The current version (3) uses 175 billion parameters of data and can’t access information from after its 2020 launch date. Version 4 will use 1 trillion parameters and it could be the end of Google, who issued a Code Red upon hearing about the next version.

Which would you prefer, asking Google a question, then sifting past 10 ads to get to the 50,000 articles that might have your answer? Isn’t it much nicer to just ask the question and receive the answer?

Example; have you ever looked up a recipe online? All you want to know is how to make the freaking cookies, but to get to the instructions and ingredients list, you need to read through half a dozen paragraphs about someone’s grandmother that made them back in the day.

This isn’t really about honoring grandma. They do this because Google requires original content in order to stand out. So, you have to deal with endless paragraphs, scrolling to the bottom of each page to get your information.

With ChatGPT, just ask it for a recipe to make the chocolate chip cookies and it will give you just that. No extra fluff, no wasting your time. Instant information. It can also write music, lyrics, code, the list goes on forever. No wonder Google is worried.
